Dreams
You're hurting
And I'm just
stuck here standing by the sidelines
So many graves I
never noticed before
People I never
knew, I never knew they existed before
I still can't
find it in me to care
So many bones
stuck in the ground
Make earthenware
with what we've found
It's all just
come to dust
Eventually our
iron bones will rust
And then what
will be left of us?
When our stories
fall out of time
'Cause we all are
just dreamers
Finding time in
our sleep
To take back what
we need, what we think we need
And we all want
to be
Dreamers, dancing
in our sleep
Echoes of our
lives
But out of
reality's reach
I'm hurting, I
think
And you're just
standing there by the gravestones
Of so, so many
unknowns
People, dreamers
like ourselves
Many lives wasted
Many lives
untasted
Many lives
fulfilled and I wish we could be
Like those busy
little bees
Finding happiness
in simple things
In the end we're
just bones
Just empty souls
longing to find home
Do we find it or
are we stuck with dust
With endless days
just collecting rust
And our stories
will fall out of time
'Cause we all are
just dreamers
Finding time in
our sleep
To take back what
we need, what we think we need
And we all want
to be
Dreamers, dancing
in our sleep
Echoes of our
lives
But out of
reality's reach
Take me back in
time
To when I had no
sense of time
No sense of dire
desire
My lungs are
caught of fire
Let me run away
to end of the earth
Let me fade away
or keep me in a jar
Feed me to the
lights of a thousand stars
Hold me up and
let me breathe
Or let me down
and let me sleep
At least in
dreams
I'm out of
reality's reach
